The Gongyi aluminous clay mine (Shecun No.2 mining district) is located southwest of Shecun Township, Gongyi, Henan. Mining rights are held by CHALCO; it is an open-pit operation producing bauxite, high-alumina clay and hard clay. The mining area covers 1.2123 km², with identified resources of about 2.98 Mt and an approved capacity of 300,000 t/year; the mining licence is valid until 8 Apr 2029.

The Gongyi aluminous clay mine (Shecun No.2 mining district) is located southwest of Shecun Township, Gongyi City, Henan Province. The mine produces aluminous clay ore, comprising bauxite, high-alumina clay and hard clay. Mining rights are held by Aluminum Corporation of China Limited (CHALCO), and the operation adopts open-pit mining. It is a key development project consolidated into CHALCO's portfolio following the integration of private mining pits under China's supply-side reform. The mining area covers 1.2123 km², with identified resources of approximately 2.98 million tonnes — including 2.06 million tonnes of bauxite, 0.25 million tonnes of high-alumina clay and 0.67 million tonnes of hard clay. The approved production scale is 300,000 tonnes/year. Mining depth ranges 65–180 m (site elevation +935.2 m). The mining licence No. C4100002009043120012720 is valid from 27 Feb 2018 to 8 Apr 2029. Leveraging CHALCO's resource allocation and brand strengths, the project has signed a cooperation agreement with the private mine owner, clarifying development rights and collaboration mechanisms. It is currently selecting a central-SOE-backed EPC general contractor and advancing development preparation and on-site organization in parallel.
